With the issuance of Minister of Industry Regulation No. 1 of 2022 on the Organization and Work Procedures of Technical Implementation Units under the Agency for Industrial Standardization and Services Policy, the administrative name has changed from Balai Besar Tekstil to Balai Besar Standardisasi dan Pelayanan Jasa Industri Tekstil (Center for Textile Industrial Standardization and Services), abbreviated BBSPJI Tekstil. To prevent misinformation and misuse during this transition, please note the following:
1) Administrative documents are currently being converted to the new BBSPJI Tekstil nomenclature. You will start to see the name change on letterheads, stamps, Test Result Reports and Certificates. If you receive a certificate or Test Result Report still using the old letterhead and doubt its validity, please verify it with the Public Service Unit according to applicable procedures. Please also note that we use security paper to issue certificates and Test Result Reports.
2) The Balai Besar Tekstil (BBT) branding on logos, publication media and social media accounts remains in use, in accordance with Permenperin No. 1 of 2022, Chapter V, Article 26 paragraph (1), which reads: “The Center for Textile Industrial Standardization and Services, hereinafter referred to as Balai Besar Tekstil, is under and responsible to the Head of the Agency for Industrial Standardization and Services Policy”. Be cautious if you receive messages, offers or information from social media accounts other than the official accounts (see Infographic).
3) For administrative purposes and service payments, please note that the nomenclature registered with the Ministry of Finance is BBSPJI Tekstil. We therefore urge authorized officials of BBSPJIT stakeholders to update this information in their internal company databases for convenient and smooth transactions.
