As the saying goes, “Behind a great man is a strong woman who always supports him and gives her blessing to his work”. This is the role of civil servants' spouses who join Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP). Today, however, the saying has gone further: beyond moral support and blessing for their spouses' careers, a civil servant's wife must also be able to work and contribute to society through beneficial programs.
This led the DWPs of six Centers within BSKJI with a West Java working area—Balai Besar Tekstil, Balai Besar Keramik, Balai Besar Bahan dan Barang Teknik, Balai Besar Logam Mesin, Balai Besar Pulp dan Kertas and Balai Besar Industri Agro—to coordinate with the West Java Provincial DWP as a vertical working organization, and they were officially inaugurated on 25 February 2022.
The inauguration was held online and attended by DWP officers of the 6 Centers in West Java. The inaugurating official was the Chair of DWP West Java Province, Mrs. Dwina Roosmini Setiawan. Also present was the wife of the Head of BSKJI Kemenperin, Mrs. Ariati Arismunandar Rahadi.
In her remarks, the Chair of DWP West Java expressed hope for collaboration on work programs with all DWP units in the West Java area.
“Because you come from the Ministry of Industry, you are expected to contribute to enriching industrial knowledge for DWPs from the city to the regency level,” she added.
