The Ministry of Industry continues to work to deliver optimal services and productive performance amid the current period of efficiency. One of the approaches taken is operational excellence: running the organization productively, efficiently and with high quality to ensure that every process in the organization runs without waste and produces maximum value.
“To accelerate the industrial services development program, we are actively building collaboration with stakeholders, such as PT SSCX International, which provides consulting in operational excellence and productivity improvement and has 20 years of experience with various projects, activities and clients across sectors in Indonesia,” the Head of the Agency for Industrial Standardization and Services Policy (BSKJI) at Kemenperin, Andi Rizaldi, said in an official statement in Jakarta on Saturday (15/3).
Recently, BSKJI and PT SSCX International held a webinar on operational excellence. Its aims included introducing operational excellence as an instrument for staying productive during a period of efficiency in order to maintain and increase national economic growth.
It also aimed to foster an operational excellence culture to maintain productivity during a period of efficiency, and to build a culture of sharing in implementing operational excellence. The webinar's theme was “Productive in Efficiency through Operational Excellence to Maintain and Increase the Contribution of Industrial Services to National Economic Growth”.
The speakers were Priyadi Arie Nugroho (Head of POPTIKJI, Ministry of Industry), Rifki Rizal Derrian (Chief Executive Officer of PT SSCX Internasional) and Iryanti Djaja (Head of Operational Excellence Downstream Indonesia, PT Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food).
Priyadi explained that the operational excellence webinar is part of a series of collaborative activities between BSKJI and PT SSCX Internasional, to be followed by technical guidance/training for industrial consultants in May 2025 to increase the competence and capability of national industrial consulting companies.
In September 2025, the Opexcon Project Competition and IdSAs (Indonesia Industrial Services Awards) Workshop will be held, followed in October 2025 by presentations and judging for the Opexcon Project Competition and IdSAs. The culmination, a series of operational excellence seminars and exhibitions, will take place in November 2025. Activities will include the OPEXCON and IdSAs 2025 awards, seminars, experience sharing, project demos, exhibitions and operational excellence consulting.
